Noah is a GROWING boy. He's now 20 pounds and getting so big. I broke my rib back in November and between carrying Noah, and playing soccer and diving to catch frisbee's during an annual ultimate frisbee game (perhaps not that smart on a broken rib) it's taken me a while to heal. But seriously, this little baby is growing and it's so fun to watch him do it. He wants to play! Apart of me wants him to be able to move on his own (crawl/walk) so he can take himself where he wishes to go. After walking around the 900 square ft of our little condo, showing him himself in the mirror so he can smile (he's quite vain), putting him in his various baby entertainment gadgets, and then at last resort me entertaining him by singing, dancing, fake sneezing and so on he wants to get out. Thankfully the weather's been pretty warm so I tried this BIG BOY swing the other day and he liked it! Forget about the boring baby swing in our house. He's even getting to the point where he wants to be IN the shopping cart at stores so his little legs stick out and his hands hold tight to the cart. SO CUTE! It kills me to watch him in the cart as I shop. Really thank goodness because that car seat with him in it was killing my rib.

Time has blown by so fast and now Noah is 5 months old. CRAZZZZZZZZY!!! The past couple months have treated us well. No complaints. Dustin and I celebrated our birthdays, I broke a rib playing soccer (I guess my one complaint), Noah started taking naps that were longer than 30 minutes (hallelujah), my sister Becky is now engaged, and oh yeah, I went to HAWAII.
Truly the best news is we are really starting to reap the rewards of parenthood. It was so true what everyone said about making it through the first 3 months. Dang, they were hard months but now I am truly falling more and more in love with this baby. I am now sounding like all of you crazy mothers out there.

The Babysitter

If there was anyone who would compete with loving Noah as much as me and Dustin, I'll give you one guess who:

Scarlet St. Julien. She loves her little cousin, Noah, and all she wants to do is take care of him. Ever since he was born all she wants to do is hold him, touch him, and kiss him. We'd go to the pool and instead of swimming, she'd sit next to him and take care of him; when a stranger comes and tries to help Noah if he's crying she says "you don't know Noah" and then shoos them off. It's really sweet. In fact we have now officially hired her to babysit Noah during our coed soccer games on Wednesday nights. We pay her a $1. It's pretty fun to see her sit and entertain him as we sub in and out of the game. Noah gets his own person Hannah Montana concerts. (See below):

Yep, I'm dressing my child. Last week at church we were unwrapping Noah in his blanket after he had woken up and I had subconsciously dressed us both in blue striped white shirts. I'm the next Lucille Bluth I suppose...

My Aunt Donna gave Noah this awesome baby gift so I couldn't help but dressing him in this new outfit to remind him of his heritage. Watch out Pat Day!

Noah was blessed a couple weeks ago. He actually soiled his white sweater onesie pretty bad - so after a series of oxi-clean sprays and washes it's brand new and we had some pictures taken last Sunday of him. The beginning of awesome family pictures I suppose. Noah's trying to make a statement early on about how he feels about it.

And I couldn't help but throw these pictures in as well. I love his sweet little face!

Oh, and he's losing his hair! He is starting to look like an old man. Bald on top and wispy hair at the bottom. I might have cut a little off for keepsake...

One Month and Counting

Noah is now one month old. I can't believe it! It feels like we've been with him forever. It's been one month of learning a lot. It seems so crazy to me that hospitals just let new parents walk out of hospitals with a baby. We love this little guy so much. Every night when I wake up (the one, two, or three times...) to feed him I can barely move out of bed; but when I see this face it makes it worth it.

Our sweet little Noah was born two weeks ago today. It's hard to believe it! I still feel like I'm living in a dream (probably because I'm lacking sleep). He's a sweet little baby and we're so lucky to have him happy and healthy. It's crazy how much I love him already and know so little about him.

Lately

It's been a good while since I last posted but when someone asks what I've been up to I really don't have any response. Dustin's been in school and work all the days long and I'm just getting larger and larger by the day; you'd think I wouldn't have anything to do but somehow I'm still busy and have an endless list of things to do that never seem to get done. I'm now 35 weeks along. Hooray, another 5 to go. But really, 5 weeks. That really means another FULL month and a week in the real world. It's not too bad though thanks to the pool at our condo. I've practically been living in it.
Below are some pictures from when we went golfing the first weekend of June. It was my first time doing 9 holes and I might of hated the first 5 holes. A LOT. The first hole I probably swung at the golf ball 10 times and it just sat there in the grass and didn't budge. After a few beatings in the ground with the driver, and everyone gently trying to give me tips, I ended up actually finishing the hole and even enjoying myself halfway through the game.

Last weekend we attempted to take the good old Glastron out. Wow, that boat really gave us a scare when we had to actually be towed in from another boat. I was thinking, "is this really it?" "is the Glastron actually retiring?", oh no, not that champ, Dustin worked his magic and we ended up boating for a couple hours. Here's some pictures of some of my favorite people. I love these girls, and what's even better is that they are my sisters.

Last but not least, to top off the fact that we had been able to go boating, we came back to Kathy and Al's with this picture. Oh my gosh I couldn't be happier to sit in the shade on a summer day divulging in Papa Johns pizza with some Shasta. I'd love to rewind this moment...

And last but not least, I want you all to enjoy the second ugliest picture ever taken of me. Oh what a profile I have...(The first ugliest picture is definitely too ugly to post). It's a good shot of by big belly though, and keep in mind this was 4 weeks ago so if you think I look big here, I've definitely gotten bigger.

St. George

Thanks to our wonderful friends the Stewart's, we were able to go down to St. George last weekend.

As my sweet roommate Sara pointed out from a couple blog posts ago I do have a pregnant belly. Crazy huh! I think I'm really starting to look like a raindrop. At first it was just my belly that was making the move but now at 27 weeks I think my hips and waist can't avoid extending either. Still, since I said goodbye to soccer a couple weeks ago I had to see if I could climb. I was only able to climb once last year and I really wanted to do it. It was a really long climb for me; and Dustin might have helped me on a couple harder areas...but it did it. Hallelujah!

We always have such a good time with the Stewart's and the Reece's (who were also with us). Looking forward to the next weekend getaway in the future. Thanks again Stewart's!

Happy Anniversary Katie! It is 6:45 am and I woke up to get ready for work and I had all my work cloths set out for me. My wallet and keys right next to it and my deorderant out and set out along side of my tooth brush and toothpaste. To top it off there was a Anniversary card in the pocket of my cloths. One of the many many ways that the love of my life takes care of me. I am the luckiest husband I know and couldn't be more in love with my wife Katie.

My Thoughts

So my thoughts lately are about WARM WEATHER. Only a few more days till March, which I know most of you are thinking "yeah right, we live in Utah and it will be cold till May"; well, at least it will be March, and not January... So with that said, here's some pictures from our trip we took to Hawaii last August:

Wedding, Lights, and Temple Square

It's been a week since Cami's wedding and I think I've finally recuperated. How sad is that! (I must be getting old or something...) My relatives came into town and it was so nice to have them around. Even my cousin got off work and came and she hasn't been here for 10 years. The wedding itself was so nice and Cami and Andrew were so calm and composed. So much better than I remember being for my wedding. I felt like I lived at Temple Square for the weekend but it was so nice to share it with our relatives who had never seen the lights and the Mormon Tabernacle sing. In fact, I did so much light seeing between Temple Square, Thanksgiving Point, and neighbors houses that I could easily be done with Christmas lights sightseeing for 2010. It's kind of funny all the stuff you do when people come in from out of town. Things that I normally never do. It's good for me.

Another Hike

Life has dulled down since the trips are over. Dustin is swamped with school and work has been TAKING OVER my life. I had to create a company newsletter for a conference we are doing next week and I thought I was going to go crazy. I actually was so consumed with the ridiculous newsletter that my mind was so wired from staring at a computer screen for so long that I was only able to sleep for two hours Thursday night. Luckily, after three revisions the newsletter is done and I slept 10 hours last night. Oh I love to sleep.

Last week we went Timpanogos Cave and got a tour from Ranger Becky. Dustin's never been and Timp Cave and American Fork Canyon are in the "Pulham Blood". My mom worked there, Cami works there, I worked there, Jenni, and now Becky. Cami gets the award for the working there the longest. Anyhow, Dustin needed to go and what a better person to give us the tour than Becky. We brought Heidi and Dave and family too and that made it even better.

That tops off as our second and final hike this year.
One more thing we did this week is give sweet little Jaya a haircut. Dustin has become an expert cat shaver and we shaved her. She's so furry! I seriously have to sweep the house just to collect her hairballs. So after four months of putting it off we did it. It was an excruciating hour for her; shave, bath, and then the dreaded hair dryer, but look at her now:

P.S. I'm loving this weather. I only hope it would last forever...

Travel Bug

It's been a while since I've last put up a post so to make it short and sweet, here's what the Hofheins have been up to:

June 23 - Becky came home off her mission. (Finally, I'm sick of her being gone!)
July 1st - I flew out to Oxford, England to be awesome Aunt Katie. Vivian Blythe Pulham was born.
July 14th - Flew back home to Utah.
July 16th-18th - Chris Merritt weekend.
July 29th - Drove to California with Kathy and Al.
July 30th - Cami flew home off her mission and we picked her up in Sacramento.
July 31st - Dustin's cousin got married. He's got such a great family out in California. I wish they weren't so far away!
August 1 - Flew to Hawaii
August 6th - Flew back home (sad day)

So in April I was bugging Dustin about how I haven't gone anywhere for so long. I've got this ridiculous travel bug in me that goes nuts after a year or two if I haven't gone anywhere. He's always wanting to "save money" for school and responsible things like that. I hate when he does that because I know I'll lose that battle. He's so logical sometimes. But as you can see I was so lucky this summer to go so many places! England was so great, I love going there and being with my family. I love the beauty and culture of that place, and then there's Hawaii....I don't know if it was because I had Dustin with me but I could have just stayed there and been content and happy forever. My mom rented this great house in Laie for my family to stay at and it was so wonderful. Every morning we'd wake up at 6 am, put our swimsuits on and play in the ocean, go snorkeling, we even did a hike.... Life doesn't get much better then that. I even slept great there (and for those of you that know me that is rare). I was so sad to come home. (Hence "sad day" from my August 6th date.)

America's Birthday

"Did you know that it's your birthday today"? That's the first thing my nephew, Ian, said to me today. The fact that I had just rolled out of bed I had forgot that today was July 4th. "It's America's birthday, and you're an American, so it's your birthday too".

I was so excited to accept the offer to come to England and help out my brother and his family as they welcome little baby, Vivian, into their home. After I had purchased the tickets and my departure date was getting closer I realized that I would be missing my favorite holiday, July 4th. And not only that, I would be spending it with the enemy. (I'm of course joking but thought it was kind of ironic regardless).

Well, not to worry I was able to go to a lovely July 4th barbecue here with some American's in my brothers ward. Fireworks and everything. What I loved was that there were only three American families, a few Scottish families, and a lot of British families. Ian was telling me "everyone wants to talk to you because this is your party because you're an American". I wasn't as popular as he thought but it was fun to think of July 4th as not only America's birthday but my own.

My sister Becky has been on a mission at Temple Square and I haven't seen her for a year and a half!!! (well technically a year and four months). Now that her mission is wrapping up the family can now call and schedule tours with her so I jumped at the chance and I called and scheduled a tour. It was so nice to see her today!

P.S. I call my blog title "Becky Sighting" because because most of you know my family is from Lehi and a lot of people we knew would see her and tell us about it. Every time I'd hear about someone seeing Becky I would just call it a "Becky Sighting".

Fast Sunday

So today was fast Sunday. Honestly, it's the 7th and I just innocently forgot. But I really feel like a fast EVERY NIGHT! For years and years (honestly can't remember when I started) I have eaten a bowl of cereal before I go to bed. I don't sleep the best but usually when I eat that bowl of choice each night it seems to sooth my stomach just enough for me to fall asleep. Anyhow, I am unfortunately gaining some unwanted pounds and for two weeks now have opted out of eating after 9pm every night. I feel like I fast every night and never before have I enjoyed cereal so much in the morning. It's like heaven every time I wake up. The first week was difficult, growling stomach at night while I'm trying to fall asleep, but fortunately things are going well. So, I dedicate this blog to the top five cereals of choice (one being the best):

5. Blueberry Morning
4. Honey Bunches of Oats
3. Grapenut Flakes
2. Yogurt and Raspberry Crisp (a Tesco brand)
1. Toffee Almond Crunch (Target brand)

This cereal is so good. For all you cereal connoisseur's out there you definitely need to try this one. Oh, the only drawback is it's kind of expensive. But I figure I'm saving money by only eating one bowl of cereal a day instead of two so I justify buying it. For now anyways...

Hallelujah! Thanks to this new Jazz man, the Jazz beat the Cav's 97-96. It's been a long time since I've screamed this hard while watching a Jazz game. I kept thinking, oh why am I still watching this game, Lebron is now embarrassing the Jazz and my heart will be broken again if the Jazz lose. The Jazz (I will have to admit) are a hard team to follow sometimes. After tonight I can now rest in peace...

Don't Forget 2009

So I have definitely not posted anything for a while. Honestly, I can't narrow down anything cool I/we've been doing or anything I have a strong enough opinion about to share with the world. I was going over some of my pictures and realized that some have been overlooked and almost forgotten! Below is my top 10 "rediscovered" pictures/memories from 2009:
10. Many nights of racquetball. I'm really loving playing this sport; especially in the winter. This is a nice welt that Dave St. Julien gave Dustin. (It was a lot bigger that it looks in this picture).

9. Climbing in St. George last Spring. Never posted any pictures from our weekend getaway with our friends but came across them and really wished that it was that warm right now!!!

8. Now it's blog bragging time. This is me jumping on the wake board last summer. I looked over pictures from my previous year of wake boarding and saw to my disappointment that the "air" I thought I was getting was no more than an inch. I'm a bit happier with this.

7. Thanks to Dustin's good friends, Jake and Dan, he was given a Snuggie for his birthday and has now become a Wizard Jedi.

6. Dustin poppin' wheelies on our scooter. This really makes me laugh.

5.This is a picture of my brother, Jared, taken during July with one of his awesome Supersoakers that he stores here in Utah while living in the UK since '01. He says that "they don't make water guns like they used to" and "the 90's was the best decade for water guns". This is a mere small dose of my brother. He is literally a child at heart and I love him a lot because of it.

4. Almost every Real Soccer home game Dustin and I managed the Whopper Hopper. A large blow-up hamburger "bounce house" that kids jump in while their parents ditch them for us to babysit. Just to vent a bit; one time a parent actually had the audacity to say "your tending this, right?" after he left his little 3 year old girl to jump. Since this Whopper Hopper is such a hot attraction we often had kids waiting in line to jump so we eventually had to kick this little girl out for other kids to jump and I helped her put on her coat and "tended" her while she waited for her daddy. I'll have to out-smart those parents this next year...

3. Some of the amazing people I meet through my work.

2. This is Padraig. He was in our Primary class last year. When I think of this kid I have to smile. He would say some of the raddest things I have ever heard in my life. He would say something like "I'm part pointer" as he was pointed in some direction. There was one time another child was picked over his brother to help out in Sharing Time and as a result Padraig yelled with all sincerity "give my brother a chance!" He would wear two sets of clothes. He'd wear his church clothes (like the one in this picture) and then he'd wear his play clothes underneath which usually consisted of a super hero t-shirt of some kind. As soon as Primary was over, he'd sit down in the hallway of the church and tear off his layer of church clothes. One time he did it right outside of the Relief Society room so as soon as it got out and the doors opened, there was Padraig on the ground with his church pants at his ankles as he struggled to pulled them off over his shoes. He moved away during the year and we both missed him a lot.

1. One of my favorite pictures and memories of this past year was seeing my nephew and niece holding hands and chatting away. Oh I loved it!

Perfect season. 12-0. August through October.

May to July. 9-3. Really tough season. Almost every game was overtime, golden goal, then shoot out. Still took the championship. We beat this nasty team that has always beat us in the final game in previous years. ~It was serious bliss to finally beat them.

A little update

I can't usually think of things that are interesting to blog about. I haven't had any major mouth surgery's (thank goodness ~ and I am now fully recovered), Dustin's in school and I'm working full time. Boring. Still, I thought I'd put on a few pic's of the past two or three weeks, (in chronological order).

Tooth Prying

This is exactly how I felt last Wednesday when I went into the dentist thinking I was fixing a little cavity and in turn found out that the cavity was so bad that not much of my actual tooth was left. I've had a couple root canals, plenty of cavities, veneers put in my front teeth after they shattered, wisdom teeth taken out as well as braces but NOTHING compared to a dentist not pulling but actually prying out my weak and shattered root of my tooth. Oh I cried like a baby. I had I don't know how many shots, blood all over, and so much pressure on my mouth as my dentist was literally PRYING at the root of what was left of my tooth as broken pieces would snap off and land in my mouth or make it out onto my face. This was done over and over again for about 45 minutes. Oh I was saying my prayers!!! This was no "oh, I'm going to get my little pliers and pull your tooth out," this was "I'm going to get my flat-head screw driver, put all of my weight behind this tool and pry that tooth out in bits and pieces." (This is of course the dentist talking.) To top it all off, I had a cavity filled on the opposite side of my mouth while I was waiting for more Novocaine to kick in. That dentist knew how to use his time so efficiently... Since both sides of my mouth had been ripped out (one a little more than the other of course), I've been on a great no eating diet for the past week.
Luckily, I have a sweet sister who has been my dentist counselor. Refer to below picture. She's a dentist expert if anyone needs one.

The good news is that I am still alive. Barely. (The only good thing that came out of this was that I could watch the U.S. Open for the rest of the week:)-Go Nadal.

When I was little and even all growing up I'd go camping with my family. A lot. I guess I got burned out and now I've limited camping to once a year. It's not that I don't like the mountains or fresh air and everything, I just don't have a lot of things to do while camping. I don't like reading, hiking, or fishing. I sleep terribly when I camp. Last year I laid in my sleeping bag until the birds started chirping in the morning and then I finally fell asleep. This year I was able to go to bed after a few hours. Bless my parents hearts for giving Dustin and I the best bed in the trailer. Below are great pictures from our camping trip at Washington Lake:

This restaurant is our new favorite place to eat. They have the best sweet potato fries I've ever had in my whole life. Better than Sundance sweet potato fries. Their ribs are the best Dustin's ever tasted. All their meat is really smokey and so good. Anyhow, don't pass this place again when driving on state street in Lindon. Call us if you are going and we'd love to join you.

Favorite Holiday

My favorite holiday for a long time has been July 4th. I like Christmas and everything, and Easter is great, but July 4th is definitely my favorite (with a close second being Halloween). There's a lot of rad stuff going on like parades and fireworks, live music, outside booths, family barbecue's...the list goes on. I really don't like to be hot or sit forever and watch the parades, or even buy stuff from the booths, I just want to make sure I see them and haven't missed out on anything. So this year I was able to tackle the crowds with my truck (because our scooter was out of commission) and made it to see the last float in the Provo parade, hung out with my family, played with my nephews, ate home made ice cream, and set off fireworks. To top it off, my nephew's are both from England and so the whole day had on their red, white, and blue attire with an American flag at hand. It was really fun. Probably in my top five favorite July 4th's.

Pet Peeves

I just posted that pleasant post about birthday cakes and how nice my mom is. While I was doing that I smelled a nasty hint of mint and looked over and saw gum in my hair! For those of you that know me that is probably one of my BIGGEST pet peeves. I tried to blame it on Dan because he slept on our couch last night and was chewing gum before he went to bed but he claimed he spit it out, so the only other explanation could be one of the primary kids in our class. Thank goodness I was able to get it out but now my pet peeve for gum and gum chewing is once again confirmed as disgusting. Jenni, I know you'll agree with me.

My mom is a very talented lady. Besides the fact that she's super smart, is a crazy sewing extraordinaire, and a genius Boggle player. She's also an amazing cake maker. Growing up she made some amazing birthday cakes for me. (My favorite is the train cake).

Her birthday was last week and this is the best I could do.

Maybe I can make it up with a nice present...

Home Away From Home

It's been a while since I've posted anything. Not anything crazy has happened I guess. We're glad we're not a "car lot" anymore, selling and buying cars I suppose. I did go Kentucky last week to visit family. My mom grew up there and moved to Utah after she graduated from University of Kentucky. Every summer when I was growing up I'd go out out there with my brother and sisters for about three weeks. I loved it and I love my Kentucky family. When I was little my grandpa would take me to Churchill Downs and we'd go watch horse races. He'd spot us a few dollars and we'd bet on the horse that probably looked the prettiest. I actually was successful..or so my grandpa made me think...While I was in Louisville last week I went to Churchill Downs with my mom and cousin, Anna, and watched some races. They last all day, but we just stayed for a few. I thought I'd try betting and didn't know which horse to bet on because the horses odds all looked the same to me: 6-2, 8-1, 5-1. While in line I overheard a guy that worked there in the horse stables say that this particular horse was his favorite so I figured he knew his stuff so when it was my turn and I stood at the window with a long line behind me and frantically put $5 down for horse number seven to win. There are three options to bet on: Win, Place, or Show. Win; the horse of course wins first place: Place; the horse you bet on takes 1st or 2nd: and Show; you win if your horse takes 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. The riskier the bet, the more money you'd win of course. As you could probably guess with my frantic bet, I didn't win but it was still fun to try. You could tell which people were locals and spent their whole day there betting. Lots of interesting people there. Great place for people watching. It was a lot of fun. The White Champ

This posting is dedicated to my 97' White Geo Prizm. Here it is for all of you who didn't get a chance to ride, drive, or "experience" the blissfulness of being in my car's presence. (Sorry everyone, it's sold, you had your chance):

This car has gone through a couple names in its 12 year life span with me. The first was "G-Spank" thanks to Mandy MacNaughton Rutledge and it's last name that it established for itself was "The White Champ." Let me tell you why. This car has been (not driven through on my way to somewhere else) too the following places:

1. Virginia Beach, VA
2. Washington D.C.
3. Manhattan, NY
4. Nashville, TN
5. Cedar City, UT and St. George, UT (several times for soccer camps and tournaments)
6. Back and forth trips from Utah State in Logan for six years of schooling
7. Pocatello, ID (I know, really far but I wanted to give an example of a the furthest northern trip)
8. Council Bluffs, IA
9. Louisville, KY

With all of these road trips and places that I've lived, the car put on 182,000 miles on it. Ahhh! A lot I know. But, with this said, it never had any serious mechanical problems, a couple squeaky brakes for replacement, and weird putting noises here and there from the muffler, but that's about it. If any of you are considering buying a Geo Prizm, don't be thrown off by the "Geo" in its name. Geo really means "Great, excellent, and overwhelming dependable". **You learn something new everyday**

Anyhow, to make a long story short, I posted the car on-line for sale for Dustin as a Christmas present and three months later after a few gruesome, fake, "I want your car" and "bring your car to me and I'll buy it with cash" depressing promises creating pre-funerals for my car, I finally parted with it to a family living in Saratoga Springs (so close to it's birth town, Lehi).

I know I brag about all the places I've driven in it, but I only have documented proof of it being in Virginia Beach and Lehi. How terrible is that! I really regret not taking more pictures of all the places it took me.

My Dads Very Very Unbirthday

My dad's a very funny guy. He likes western movies, especially with John Wayne in them, he doesn't like to play games but is really good at playing them when he does, he likes to keep candy in his pocket to give to little children, he's not a fan of excessive silliness (this is very true) AND sarcasm, he's a very talented woodworker, he's very social (especially when he puts the role of "Brother Pulham" on), he's an extremely hard worker, he's a very talented shopper at such stores as: Lowes, Joseph A. Banks (sorry Jenni), Home Depot, and Bed Bath and Beyond, he's got a lot of great stories about when he was growing up in Lehi as a young boy living the life of John Wayne, he's a wonderful husband and father, he loves loves loves serving others, and last but not least, he loves to give to others. However; hypocritically enough each year he asks that we disregard the day of February 18th and not give him anything. In fact this year he has proclaimed this day to be referred to as his "unbirthday". With that said, I couldn't help but post the following clip:

Enough of the sad goodbye of Sister Pulham. It was a sad goodbye but I'll be able to save some money on my text messaging now that she's gone... So this posting is a bit more uplifting and more my personal opinion. Now that the holidays have come and gone it's time to discuss things that can stay, and things that MUST GO.

I'll start out by being positive. Items and/or events that are acceptable during the Christmas season are the following:

1. Tasty Christmas dinner with the family

2. Playing the piano with a double chin.

3. Hanging out with good looking sisters-in-law.

4. Rolling in the snow with stuffed animals dressed as Santa.

5. Salt Lake City free meter parking.

6. Amazing gas prices!

Any Doctor's Out There...

A few weeks ago after one of Al's famous Sunday dinner's of pot roast, mash potatoes and homemade gravy Dustin's lip started tingling. I come out of the kitchen from helping Kathy with dishes and Dustin says "is there anything about me that looks different." I couldn't see anything from far away so I got up close and it looked like his lip was swelling. I thought, oh funny Dustin, and I grabbed his lip and yanked it around searching for what I thought would be a grape or something. Turns out, Dustin's allergic to something:

Crazy huh! Dustin thought it might be oatmeal, I thought it was Pepcid AC. (I know, far-fetched) but I could have sworn every time he had heart burn and took the medicine his lip would swell up. Alas, still don't know what it is. He hasn't had it happen lately but for a week his lip was swelling up on every side top and bottom. The only thing that helped tame it down was some Benadryl. So, to all of you doctor's out there, what's your diagnosis? Any ideas?

The Story About Us

So I thought for those of you who haven't seen or talked to us lately that I'd share with you a little sweet story about us...

We met in a lovely city called Virginia Beach, VA early May 2006. Dustin was selling security systems and I was doing an internship. We met because good ol' Thomas (another sales guy living by Dustin) invited us over and Dustin and I just hit it off, what can I say. Here's some pict's from our first days in Virginia.

April 28, 2006, 3pm, married in the Salt Lake Temple

After missing our flight, we finally made it to Cancun, Mexico for our honeymoon.

We then made our way to Nashville, TN to live for the summer while Dustin sold pest control. Thankfully the St. Julien's were there and Heidi and I could play tennis every day after work and hang out at the pool to save the sanity of the hot humidity.

We moved back home near family and now reside in Orem, UT.
This is our little condo we moved into July 2007. (We live in the top one).

Lastly, in case you forgot what we looked like, here's some updated pict's of us.

Dustin's got about a year of pre-chiropratic schooling left and I work full-time. We love to go boating, play racquetball, play lots of games-seems like Texas Hold 'em is pretty popular lately, go and watch Jazz games, ski, travel, we really liked that new movie with Ricky Gervais called "Ghost Town" (Loved it). Come see us and visit our little sweet, and newly decorated with a Christmas tree home. We're really nice people...Oh yeah, and we have a cat. She's a model.

I know I'm a bit late with the "thankful" list, but before time's up, I wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sweetheart and name the top ten reason's why I'm thankful and so lucky to have him:

1. He'll wear a Jazz jersey to Jazz games even when he I know doesn't want too.
2. He let's Jaya my cat live with us. This is really big.
3. He's letting me keep my old beat-up car even though we should sell it and he'll drive it during the summer w/out air conditioning so I can drive his car (w/air conditioning instead).
4. He's put's up with my weirdnesses and passions for soccer, traveling, and the Jazz.
5. He'll try and meditate with me.
6. He likes to play soccer, tennis, racquetball, and Dr. Mario with me.-even if I win-which is of course most of the time.
7. He took charge of Sharing Time last Sunday even though it was my turn.
8. He's very patient and respectful of everything that has to do with me and how ridiculously complex I try to make things.
9. I know he'd sacrifice anything for my happiness.
10. He loves me.

There's of course more. But HAPPY 26TH BIRTHDAY Dustin. I love you so much and I hope you had a great birthday.

Summer days

I was thinking today that with this nice weather and all that if it were only...well 20 degrees warmer and I could go boating. I deciding after such a sweet summer of boating once or twice a week that I like to boat more than ski. With that in mind, I decided to post one of my favorite days of the summer. My brother and his family were here and we were able to go boating and wakeboarding with them and it was so fun. So this is my ode to summer I suppose. Let's start out by talking about the Jazz. The Utah Jazz. I celebrated my 27th birthday yesterday and lucky for me my sweetheart got us tickets to see the Jazz play the Oklahoma City, Thunder (not a great name).Sounds like a hockey team name to me.
Anyhow, specifically with the Jazz, let's take the time to honor Ronnie Brewer. Great game last night. I have a Brewer jersey and I was cheering for him from row six and I know he heard me. I'm sure he played better after he heard me yell his name. Also, let me make mention Boozer and his tucked in jersey. One of his loyal teammates should really help out by untucking that highriding jersey outfit he's got on. They'd only be doing him a favor.
