Big Boy Noah

It has been so long since I've last posted. Summer is such a fun time. Lots of swimming, soccer, and bbqing. I love the summer. I might have been glued to the tv lately watching the Olympics...The best thing that happened was Noah had his 1st birthday. Yep, he's actually 1! I am now like all the mothers out there by saying I can't get enough of my little Noah. I could stare at him for hours and hours. Below are some pictures from the past couple months. Hopefully it won't take me so long to post again.

March Mayhem

It has truly been so long since I've last posted anything. March to say the least was such an insane month. A really fun month, but a crazy one. My sweet sister Becky got married on March 10th. Flew in from Hawaii for 2 days, got married, flew back. The next week we flew to Austin to visit family. Now for those of you who know me, I've had a few negative run-ins with Texans (an old roommate to be exact) and for some reason this state breeds very prideful people. Well, it was really a great place with really nice people. One in fact gave me a great idea for my always teething Noah. South by Southwest was going on at the same time so Dustin and I went downtown one night to check it out and felt like it was all the hippies from the 60's (younger versions of course) all gathered in one place. And I don't know if it's because I'm a mother now but I would look around and see young men and think "oh, you're mother couldn't possibly like what you are doing right now". I am truly aging myself these days! We loved Austin and miss Scott, Lyndsey, Charlotte, Solomon, & Clover. Below are some pictures from Austin.

Oh, and I'm also throwing in a couple pictures from the awesome 80 degree weather day we had last week. Noah LOVED the pool. He sat and splashed for an hour and a half. Thanks again Heidi for setting it up.

Rockin' Mute Math

It's been a while since I've posted. Just plugging away...waiting for the weather to warm up and for March to get here. But not to worry, the month of February was well spent. Valentine's Day we went to see Mute Math with our friends, the Rothfels. We met the band and everything thanks to Dustin knowing their guitarist, Todd Gummerman, back from his band days with Chris Merritt. Truly, it was a great concert, this band knows how to perform and interact with the crowd. - Not to mention their music is pretty great too. Enjoy the pictures below (courtesy of Jake who remembered to bring his camera)

Dustin & I flaring our nostrils at the camera. (Not my best angle...)

Me & sweet Diana.

Me standing awkwardly infront of Dustin and the band.

Oh, and of course I can't let a blog post go with out pictures of sweet 7 month old Noah.

6 Months

Noah is a GROWING boy. He's now 20 pounds and getting so big. I broke my rib back in November and between carrying Noah, and playing soccer and diving to catch frisbee's during an annual ultimate frisbee game (perhaps not that smart on a broken rib) it's taken me a while to heal. But seriously, this little baby is growing and it's so fun to watch him do it. He wants to play! Apart of me wants him to be able to move on his own (crawl/walk) so he can take himself where he wishes to go. After walking around the 900 square ft of our little condo, showing him himself in the mirror so he can smile (he's quite vain), putting him in his various baby entertainment gadgets, and then at last resort me entertaining him by singing, dancing, fake sneezing and so on he wants to get out. Thankfully the weather's been pretty warm so I tried this BIG BOY swing the other day and he liked it! Forget about the boring baby swing in our house. He's even getting to the point where he wants to be IN the shopping cart at stores so his little legs stick out and his hands hold tight to the cart. SO CUTE! It kills me to watch him in the cart as I shop. Really thank goodness because that car seat with him in it was killing my rib.
